§ 9.03. Payment of award.

When an award of damages is confirmed in any proceedings for the taking of property for public use by right of eminent domain, or whenever the court renders final judgment in any appeal from any such award and the time for abandoning such proceedings by the city has expired, the city shall, as provided by statute, pay the amount of the award or judgment of the court, as the case may be; and if not so paid, judgment therefore may be had against the city.
