§ 14-1. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Applicant means any applicant for any license under this chapter.

License means any permit issued by the city to a licensee allowing the transaction of a business regulated by the city, and prohibited without such permit.

Licensee means any person who holds a valid, current, unexpired and unrevoked license from the city for carrying on any businesses regulated and licensed under this chapter.

Sale, sell or sold means all forms of barter and all manner or means of furnishing merchandise to persons.

Wholesale means any sale for purpose of re-sale.
