§ 16-86. Minimum age of operators.

  • A person fourteen (14) years of age or older, but less than eighteen (18) years of age, may make a direct crossing of a street while operating a snowmobile only if he/she has in his/her possession a valid snowmobile safety certificate. No person under the age of fourteen (14) years shall operate a snowmobile on any public land or water unless accompanied by his/her parent, legal guardian, or another person eighteen (18) years of age or older on the same or an accompanying snowmobile, or on a device towed by the same or an accompanying snowmobile.
