§ 25-302. Penalty for late payment; discontinuance of service for nonpayment.

  • A penalty of ten (10) percent thereof shall be added to, and become part of, all delinquent utility bills. If any such bill is not paid in full within the time period established by resolution, the municipal utilities may, at the option of the city, be suspended to the consumer whose bill is delinquent. If service is suspended due to delinquency it shall not be restored at that location until a re-connection charge in the amount determined by resolution of the council has been paid for each utility re-connected. Such charge is in addition to the amounts owed for service and penalties.
