§ 2-19. Organization meetings.
At its first regular meeting in January in each even-numbered year the council shall, in the order herein stated and prior to commencing its regular order of business, reorganize by:
(1)
Having all new officers and officials take and subscribe their oath of office;
(2)
Seating all new members of the council;
(3)
Selecting a mayor pro tem;
(4)
Selecting a secretary of the council who may be the city clerk; and
(5)
Performing such other organizational acts or functions as may be permitted or required.
