§ 5-3. Operation of watercraft.

  • (a)

    It is unlawful for any person to operate, dock, or anchor any watercraft as defined in Minnesota Statutes section 86B.005 upon any lake within the city except in accordance with the provisions of this section.

    (b)

    It is unlawful to operate or permit the operation of any watercraft:

    (1)

    At a speed in excess of "slow—no wake" within one hundred (100) feet of any aeration equipment. "Slow—no wake" means operation of watercraft at the slowest possible speed necessary to maintain steerage and in no case greater than five (5) miles per hour.

    (2)

    At a speed greater than "slow—no wake" within one hundred (100) feet of any shoreline. This paragraph shall not apply to watercraft launching or landing a water skier by the most direct route to or from open water.
