§ 2-21. Special meetings.

  • Special meetings of the council may be called by majority vote of the council at any meeting. Special meetings of the council may also be called by the mayor or two (2) council members, upon at least twelve (12) hours' notice to each member of the council. Such notice shall be in writing and delivered personally to each member or left at his/her usual place of residence or business with some responsible person, provided, however, that notice of a special meeting may be waived when a written waiver of notice has been signed by all members of the council. Any written waiver of notice shall contain the act, time, and place specified for such meeting, and a general listing of all items of notice shall be appended to and become a part of the minutes of the meeting. Notice of the meeting shall be posted.
