Except as provided by statute, the city charter, or by ordinance all board, commission
and citizen advisory committee members shall be appointed by the council for a term
of three (3) years.
(b)
All board, commission, and citizen advisory committee appointments authorized by ordinance
or resolution shall be made by the council at the first meeting in January of each
year. New appointees shall assume office on February 1. January 31 is the date of
expiration of terms. All vacancies shall be filled in the same manner for unexpired
terms.
